About me. I am a faculty member at Cambridge University, holding the position of University Lecturer (Asst. Prof.) Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the General Robotics, Automation, Sensing and Perception (GRASP) Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania, where I worked with Prof. Vijay Kumar on coordination and control algorithms for multi-robot systems. I completed my PhD at EPFL, Switzerland, under the direction of Prof. Alcherio Martinoli, where I addressed the topic of localization with ultra-wideband sensing for mobile robot networks. My dissertation was awarded the Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) award for the best thesis at EPFL in the fields of Computer Sciences, Automatics and Telecommunications. Further awards include Finalist for Best Multi-Robot Systems Paper at ICRA 2017, Best Paper at BICT 2015, and MIT Rising Stars 2015.
Research. I am particularly interested in methods that enable the autonomous operation of systems composed of multiple robots (distributed robotic systems, robot networks, and, more generally, cyber-physical systems). My work takes a holistic approach, and considers (i) multi-robot coordination algorithms, (ii) abstractions of robot-robot interactions, and (iii) experimentation.
07-2017 – I am joining the faculty of the Computer Laboratory at the University of Cambridge as a Lecturer (Asst. Prof.) this fall.
